Boarding for flight AA280 took place at Gate 49 in the main terminal building of Incheon Airport Terminal 1, rather than requiring a shuttle train ride to the Concourse. This central location made walking to the gate very convenient. Boarding commenced at 17:45, approximately 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure. American Airlines utilizes a structured Boarding Zone system ranging from Group 1 through Group 9. Groups 1 to 4 consist of Business Class, Premium Economy, and AAdvantage elite members (Oneworld Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby), followed by Groups 5 to 9 for Main Cabin Economy passengers based on row assignment. Holding Group 3 priority boarding status, I boarded seamlessly through the dedicated Priority lane as soon as the gate opened. Gate agents scanned my boarding pass, verified my passport, and directed me down the jet bridge onto the aircraft.
Mid-flight, approximately 7 hours after departure, a mid-flight snack box service was conducted. The pass took around 30 minutes, with flight attendants quietly placing snack boxes on tray tables for sleeping passengers.
The final pre-arrival meal service began 11 hours and 20 minutes into the flight (about 1 hour and 20 minutes prior to landing). To ensure everything was completed smoothly, beverages and meal trays were served simultaneously. All cabin service wrapped up 40 minutes before landing.

The location of the Jeju Airport lounge, the low privacy of the aisle seats, and the exhaust smell during engine startup were disappointing, but considering the price, it was a solid domestic Prestige flight.

7/10 (πππππ) Korean Air's signature service, Korean-style meals, and convenient lounge boarding were satisfying, but it was a flight where the limitations of the older B777-300ER and Prestige Sleeper seats were clear. Even within the same Prestige Class, the gap in quality depending on the aircraft and seat type was very noticeable.
