Seoul

  • 🗓️ Mar 2026 Stay | 🌏 Seoul, South Korea | 🛏️ Standard Twin

7/10 (🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑) Located right in front of Seodaemun Station with great access to Gwanghwamun, Jongno, and Mapo, it was a decent business hotel with clean and practical rooms. The breakfast and service were standard, but the small rooms, lackluster facilities, parking issues, and some room details were limitations.

  • 🗓️ Feb 2026 Flight | 💺 Prestige Sleeper | ✈️  B777-300ER

7/10 (🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑) Korean Air's signature service, Korean-style meals, and convenient lounge boarding were satisfying, but it was a flight where the limitations of the older B777-300ER and Prestige Sleeper seats were clear. Even within the same Prestige Class, the gap in quality depending on the aircraft and seat type was very noticeable.

  • 🗓️ Feb 2026 Flight | 💺 Main Cabin Extra | ✈️  B777-200ER

7/10 (🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑) Thanks to the Main Cabin Extra seats, it was a practical long-haul economy flight that made the nearly 13-hour journey relatively manageable. The old aircraft, narrow seat width, and small meal portions were a letdown, but considering the lounge access and free seat selection benefits, it was a totally acceptable flight.

  • 🗓️ Feb 2026 Stay | 🌏 Seoul, South Korea | 🛏️ Standard King with View

8/10 (🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑) This was a well-rounded Courtyard, best known for its views of the Seoul Botanic Park and convenient access to Magongnaru Station. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast was decent, and Marriott elite benefits made the stay even more rewarding. With only a modest range of facilities, it worked better as a base for exploring the surrounding area than as a destination for a full hotel staycation.

  • 🗓️ Feb 2026 Flight | 💺 Business Smartium | ✈️  A380-800

7/10 (🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑) Thanks to the A380's signature spaciousness, full-flat Business Smartium seats, and decent food and beverage offerings, it was a comfortable journey. However, the age of the seats and overall service was noticeable, and the fine details fell short of its past reputation.

  • 🗓️ Dec 2025 Flight | 💺 Prestige Sleeper | ✈️  A330-300

8/10 (🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑) The service was simple, but the wide-body A330's full-flat seats, priority baggage, and on-time arrival were satisfying. The location of the Jeju Airport lounge, the low privacy of the aisle seats, and the exhaust smell during engine startup were disappointing, but considering the price, it was a solid domestic Prestige flight.

  • 🗓️ Dec 2025 Flight | 💺 Prestige Sleeper | ✈️  A330-300

8/10 (🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑) Even though it was a short domestic flight of just over an hour, the ability to use the lounge, priority boarding, and spacious full-flat Prestige seats made it highly satisfying. The in-flight service was simple with just drinks, and the older entertainment system was a pity, but for a domestic business class, it was an experience well worth the money.

  • 🗓️ Mar 2025 Stay | 🌏 Seoul, South Korea | 🛏️ Courtyard Suite

8/10 (🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑) While the location at the far west of Seoul might be polarizing, the accessibility to Magongnaru Station and Seoul Botanic Park, the spacious Courtyard Suite upgrade, and free breakfast and coffee passes made this Courtyard highly satisfying, especially for Marriott Elite members. The fundamentals of the hotel itself were also very solid.
